The Red Room At Cap City: Adam Newman
Adam Newman is a New Hampshire-born, Georgia-schooled, Brooklyn-based comedian who has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman and John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central. He recently taped his own episode of Comedy Central's The Half Hour, which comes out later this year. Adam was among Comedy Central's first class of "Comics to Watch" to perform at the New York Comedy Festival, and was invited to showcase as a "New Face" at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. His debut stand-up CD, Not for Horses, was released by Rooftop Comedy to critical acclaim. Adam's TV appearances include MTV's The CollegeHumor Show, various talking head shows on the TV Guide Network, the Tyra Banks Show (weird!), and dozens of CollegeHumor Originals on CollegeHumor.com. Most importantly, though, Adam is a co-host of Butt Talk, the world's #1 Number 2 podcast.
We are an 18+ venue.
Instead of a drink minimum, we have a two-item per person minimum in the Showroom, which can be fulfilled with any food or drink items from the menu.
Please Note: Food and drinks purchased in the bar and lounge do not count towards the two-item minimum.
- General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Balcony seating is available for our Main Showroom events. It is general admission on our second-floor balcony. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Reserved seats are assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned. We recommend purchasing Reserved tickets in a single transaction to guarantee your group is seated together.
Please Note: We do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee seats in a specific location.
- While we cannot guarantee seats together, General admission groups should arrive at least 45 minutes before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.
- Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will automatically be assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.
Please Note: We will only seat complete groups. Your group must enter the showroom together to be seated together. In addition, we do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee you seats in a specific location.

Adam Newman is a very funny Los Angeles-based comedian and musician who's done stand-up on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with James Corden, John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show, Gotham Comedy Live, and a bunch of other shows on streaming services that are now dead. He has his own Comedy Central Half Hour, and an hour special on Amazon called Fuzzies. Some people know Adam from back in his CollegeHumor days, while others know him from a viral video where he pulled cocaine out of a heckler's coat. True Newmaniacs know Adam from appearances on HBO's Silicon Valley and Last Week Tonight, Showtime's I'm Dying Up Here, and TruTV's Adam Ruins Everything. Comedy Central named Adam a Comic to Watch in 2011, and he was a New Face at the Montreal Comedy Festival in 2013. They even had him back two more times to film sets for HBO Canada's Funny As Hell. Adam has three critically acclaimed stand-up albums - Not For Horses (2011) and Killed (2015) on Blonde Medicine Records, and Squirtacus (2019) released by 800 Pound Gorilla Records. Adam has a new special in the can coming out later this year!
