The Domain offers plenty of free parking in surrounding lots. We are located closest to the Pink Garage.
Like most premier comedy clubs nationwide, we utilize a traditional two-item showroom minimum per person. This business framework is highly beneficial for our guests because it allows us to keep upfront live performance ticket prices as low and accessible as possible.
Do I have to purchase alcoholic beverages to meet the minimum?
Not at all. Unlike standard "two-drink minimums" that require alcohol purchases, our policy applies to any two items on our menu. This means you can easily fulfill the showroom minimum with non-alcoholic refreshments, sodas, bottled water, hot appetizers, or desserts.
Note: Food and drinks purchased at the front bar or lobby lounge prior to entering the main showroom do not apply to the internal showroom minimum.
Prices listed on the event include all fees (before taxes). A full breakout of your ticket will be shown during checkout. The service fees helps cover the costs of putting on the show. They are shared between the various organizing parties, and may include a profit to them.

Please Note: Tickets are only available through capcitycomedy.com, and ticket resale is strictly prohibited. Tickets suspected of being purchased for the sole purpose of reselling will be canceled at the discretion of Cap City Comedy Club. For more information, click HERE.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges.
- General Admission seating is assigned on a first-come, first-sat basis as you enter the showroom. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Balcony seating is available for our Main Showroom events. It is general admission on our second-floor balcony. The earlier you arrive, the better your seats will be.
- Reserved seats are pre-assigned for you by management on the night of the show. They are the best seats available for your party size at the time they are assigned. We recommend purchasing Reserved tickets in a single transaction to guarantee your group is seated together.
Please Note: We do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee seats in a specific location or that your party will have a table to themselves.
If you're looking for a more comfortable experience, we recommend purchasing Reserved Seating or our premium Couples Package. Reserved Seating gives you priority seating within the reserved section, and our team is happy to accommodate seating requests whenever possible. If you have a seating preference or special request, simply give us a call before your visit or let us know when purchasing your tickets, and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
For the best overall value, our Couples Package includes two premium reserved seats, a $90 food and beverage credit ($45 per person), gratuity, and Ticket Protection, providing a convenient all-inclusive experience with added savings. The Couples Package is especially popular for date nights, anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions, making it one of our most popular ways to enjoy a night of live comedy.
To capture the electric, high-energy environment of a classic stand-up theater, our main showroom floor uses an intimate, close-proximity layout. Because laughter is scientifically proven to be contagious, our loose tables and chairs are intentionally designed to bring guests together—creating a shared experience similar to a premium movie theater or a high-end lounge.
While our main showroom floor features a traditional, multi-level layout to keep the audience close to the action, we have engineered structural solutions to guarantee excellent visibility. Our performance stage is custom-raised 28 inches, completely elevating the comedians above the crowd so that sightlines remain clear, even if you are seated behind taller guests.
How do I secure an entirely unobstructed view?
For guests who want to guarantee perfect sightlines, we highly recommend upgrading to our Balcony Seating tier. Located on our elevated second level, the balcony offers a completely unobstructed, birds-eye view of the entire stage, completely bypassing the mult-level layout below. Alternatively, selecting our Reserved Seating package ensures management places you closer to the stage.
The venue, including the box office, will open 1 hour before shows starting between 3-5:30 PM, 2 hours before shows starting between 6-8 PM & 45 minutes before all shows starting 8:30 PM or later. We recommend arriving no later than 30 minutes before showtime. Late arrivals are not guaranteed seats and are not entitled to a refund.
Please Note: The box office will be closed between shows. You will only be able to pick up tickets when the box office is open for your showtime.
- While we cannot guarantee seats together, General Admission groups should arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime and enter the showroom as a group for the best chance of being seated together.
- Reserved groups who purchase tickets in a single order will automatically be assigned seating together. Reserved ticket holders who purchase separately are not guaranteed seating together. Please see your email confirmation for details if your group purchased separately.
Please Note: We will only seat complete groups. Your group must enter the showroom together to be seated together. In addition, we do not take seating requests and cannot guarantee you seats in a specific location.
Yes. Comedy is subjective, and certain comedians are not for everybody. Watching a YouTube clip or reading the headliner's biography is a great way to get insight into the expected performance.
Shows are usually between 90 and 105 minutes, although the shows actual length is entirely dependent on the headliner and what their current performance calls for.
Our Main showroom and Upstairs showroom are fully accessible. Call our box office for more information. We encourage all patrons who have a disability to reach out to us to make accommodations.

Ticket protection is insurance that allows you to cancel your order to receive a venue credit toward a future event. It can be added to most orders at the time of purchase but cannot be added after the order has been placed.

Patrons may take personal photographs before or after the show. Taking pictures and videotaping shows during the show without the club’s and the artist’s written consent is strictly prohibited.
Please Note: This policy is subject to change on a show-by-show basis. Some shows may require your phone to be put away upon entering the venue.
Yes! Physical gift cards and e-cards can be purchased HERE. Please allow up to 7-10 business days for processing (not including transit time) on all physical gift cards.

Yes. In addition to our flagship main showroom, Cap City Comedy Club features the Red Room, an intimate performance space located on the second floor of the club. Designed specifically to showcase local, emerging, and developing comedians, the Red Room offers a unique live comedy experience in a smaller setting while providing performers with a fully equipped professional stage featuring state-of-the-art audio, lighting, and production capabilities.
The Red Room is Cap City's dedicated space for discovering Austin's next generation of comedy talent. Seating up to 75 guests, the venue includes its own lounge and full-service bar, creating an intimate atmosphere that's ideal for local showcases, independent productions, special events, and rising comedians building their audiences. The Red Room complements our larger main showroom, which regularly hosts nationally touring headliners.
Supporting local comedy has been part of Cap City's mission for decades. In addition to our frequent Open Mic Nights and providing regular performance opportunities in the Red Room, Cap City has proudly hosted Austin's Funniest Competition for more than 40 years, helping discover and elevate generations of Texas comedians. Our commitment to developing local talent has made Cap City one of Austin's most important comedy destinations for both established performers and comics just beginning their careers.
Yes! We host our Open Mic events on Tuesday nights when scheduling allows. Please check our calendar for upcoming dates.
