Open Mic Sundays at Cap City Comedy Club

For years the Austin comedy scene has grown and produced some of the funniest comics working clubs today, writing and performing for hit TV shows, making appearances at major comedy festivals (like "Just For Laughs" Montreal & Chicago festivals and Austin's own "Moontower Comedy & Oddity Festival"), and some merging into the LA or NY industries with complete success. Come see what Austin has to offer every Sunday night at 8pm, and in turn help us support Austin Children's Shelter (just a $2 admission, with $1 going straight to Austin Children's Shelter).

Looking for Stage Time?

Open mic is held regularly at Cap City on Sundays at 8pm. Sign up is done in advance by email. We take submissions Monday - Wednesday the week before each show, and usually receive as many as 100 emails per week (so not everyone will make the list every week). The list is put together Thursdays or Fridays, so look for a response then. We are always looking for new acts, and we mix up the line-ups each week so it's always a different show.

Set time at Open Mic is 3 to 4 minutes. Check in time for confirmed performers is 7:30pm.
